Timothy P. Lynch is a professor of history at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has won awards for his teaching and has published extensively in the areas of American labor history and protest music.

As the son of a carpenter, Timothy grew up in a house his father built over sixty years ago. So, his own journey into the world of construction is accompanied by memories of his boyhood home and the man who built it.
